But really what always meant the most to me was the first time I ever started at quarterback at Saint Ignatius High School. There's all these great things, coaching at John Carroll and beating Mount Union. "If you look at football, my dream was always to play in the NFL and I had that opportunity. I learned a lot about the game and how to handle players, but mainly it's how to be at your best at all times." Just be consistent every day for the people I have the opportunity to coach and lead.

I'm not going to change if we win or lose or depending on how our season is going. I'm going to treat people the same way, coach them the same way and that's something I'm proud of. You go through it - I certainly had a lot of highs and certainly had some lows - but what I learned is that I'm going to be the same guy no matter what the situation and circumstances are. That was something I really cherished and enjoyed. It's such an incredible opportunity to have that responsibility and know that every single day when you wake up, that there are hundreds of people counting in you to do your job as well as you can possibly do it. You have to be at your best every single day. Just how much they're counting on you and how much their families are counting on you.

"I learned a lot, but really what is most important in this profession and that's making an impact on people's lives who you have the opportunity to coach.
